The American designer was born in New York on 9 April 1963 and is famous for his quirky, preppy style. Anything he puts his name to quickly sells out and he often sets trends for several seasons ahead. Celebrity fans include Uma Thurman, Ashley Olsen and Scarlett Johansson, with his collections even being named after the celebs! 
Currently artistic director for Louis Vuitton, he also designs for his own label Marc Jacobs and his diffusion line Marc by Marc Jacobs.
